BABY UPDATE...

Well, I went to the doctors Wednesday afternoon, and sadly there is not much going on down there. The doctor checked me and told me that I am just dilated to 1 cm, and she sees no reason why I would go early or even on time for that matter. In fact she said she still sees me going probably about 10 days late. Not that I couldn't go into labor tomorrow, but she just gave me her opinion as to what she expects. The last ultrasound I had about 3 weeks ago, Roman was already 6 pounds, so at this point the doctor is expecting him to be over 7 pounds now... and I still have a week before my due date... it would seem that if I end up going over 10 days I could have a baby near 9 pounds. Please Dear God.... no.... or this may be the last baby I have. :) Roman seems to be pretty comfortable where he's at for now.

I was supposed to go on maternity leave beginning the week of March 1st, but we're really busy at work, and if I am expected to go over on my due date, I might as well go into work next week instead of sitting at home bored out of my mind. Hopefully by next weekend I'll show some signs of labor and have the baby sometime around my due date of the 8th. Only time will tell I guess... I'll keep you posted!

Roman's New Cradle!

Eeyore

Pooh & Piglet
Can't wait to see him sleeping in this!

The cradle is just beautiful

We are so lucky to have received a gift like this. My Mom's friend Curt hand made this cradle and even sketched and burned the Winnie the Pooh characters into the wood himself! We went Tuesday night to go and pick it up from my Mom's house. It is so well made I think it will last forever. The cradle is now in our bedroom waiting to put little Roman in it.

Roman's Room Is Waiting...

Okay, I am certainly not looking my best in this picture... it's just before bed (sexy :) ha-ha, but I thought I should have Jim take a picture of Roman & I... (he's obviously feeling a little shy) but I'm 37 weeks... and according to my counter online there's only 20 days left until my due date. Time is really moving and so is Roman. I'm getting the Braxton Hicks contractions, and I have some major cramping lately. It's hard to get around, and although there are a few lucky times when I don't feel like a weeble, I certainly look like one at this point!
Here's Roman's cradle in our room... it's ready and waiting for him.

Roman's dresser and mirror with some of his sports stuff.

Right when you walk in the room here's what you see. The swing will soon be down stairs to use.

Here's Roman's crib- it's complete. His sports bedding set has been washed and is ready for action! We're really excited to see our little boy in it!

Perhaps You Can Make This Out???

Here's one of our pictures of Roman's face we got at our recent doctors appointment. If you can make it out, you can see his chubby cheeks and full lips and shadow of his nose... can't wait to meet him! :)

It's Been Awhile...

Me with Roman's soon to be God parents Roy and his wife Kathy.

Jim and I after the shower. God I look huge!

Here's the yummy cupcakes we had!

Greetings! SO SORRY I haven't posted anything is awhile... I've been a little busy. :) We had Roman's baby shower January 25th, and since then it's been putting together, organizing, cleaning, and moving things around along with working and keeping up with the other day-to-day things, it's been a little crazy... but I'm enjoying it. We got many wonderful gifts from everyone, and we are very very thankful. I can't wait to put it all to use. We had great weather the day of the shower, and had a fantastic turn out. I didn't get to take many digital pictures of the shower, because it was just so busy, but I did post a couple from that day.

I went to the doctors on the 4th of February, and found out that Roman is 5 lbs 15 ounces right now, and they are predicting he'll be in the high 7's to low 8 lb range once he's born. He looks good and healthy and quite active, which I am attest to that. We got to see his little nose which the tech said that it looks like mine so far, and he has nice full lips and she can see hair on his head... plus he has chubby cheeks which I love! :) I am down to only 4 weeks left until my due date, and I am getting a little tired of the fact that I have a person attached to the front of me kicking and moving and squirming, and although I never would ahve though that 5 lbs 15 ounces could feel so heavy -it does. And from what I hear it doesn't get much better then this until he's born. I am hanging in there pretty well, still working full time, but planning to go on maternity leave the week before he's due.

Everything has been going great, and I am so happy to be someone's Mom soon! Jim is still my savior through this pregnancy. He's so supportive and forgiving and really makes being pregnant a lot less work for me. I'm a lucky gal.
